Alan Michael Kidwell-Horne, LLB (Hons)
Solicitor, Director, COLP
Alan, commonly known as Michael, is based in the Hereford office and opened the first Kidwells business, namely the solicitors, in 2007. After graduating from Derby and Wolverhampton universities with a degree in law, as well as completing his legal practice course, he practiced as a solicitor at several different law firms, across Herefordshire and the West Midlands. Michael practices all areas of Law that Kidwells offers and has extensive knowledge of being a solicitor, for over 15 years. Since opening the solicitors, he has founded many different businesses and achieved other qualifications such as becoming an Ocean Yacht Master, Pilot, Sky diver and Sea diver. Michael understands the requirements of businesses of all kinds, so wherever you are in your business, you can feel confident that Michael has faced the same challenges and triumphs personally and come out of it successfully.
In Michael’s free time, he enjoys sailing and spending time with his family.
Andy Robinson ACA
Accountant
Andy is based in the Hereford office and joined Kidwells in 2019. Andy has over 25 years’ experience as an Accountant and joined the Kidwells Group to improve performance, as well as support Kidwells Accountancy clients with financial strategy.
In Andy’s free time, he enjoys playing squash and spending time with his family.
Emily Horne AATQB
Operations Director, COFA
Emily is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2020. Emily worked within a finance function for several years, before joining Kidwells. Her knowledge of how larger organisations are run influenced the growth of the Kidwells Group. Emily achieved an ACCA diploma in Accounting and Business, whilst managing the Marketing, Sales and Finance teams.
In Emily’s free time, she enjoys playing netball, where she is chairman for the Herefordshire Netball League, and loves spending time with her friends and family.
Sarah Laight
HR, Compliance & Business Support Director
Sarah is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2017. Sarah has worked for over two decades, working within a law firm. Sarah has a meticulous eye for detail, making sure the Kidwells team is organised, support staff are trained, and clients and third parties are updated.
In Sarah’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Alan Horne
Trainee Solicitor (SQE) – Bristol Office
Alan is based in the Bristol office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2020. Alan founded several companies, building them from concept, and is now using his experience in business to support clients with their legal matters.
In Alan’s spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, keeping active and spending time with his family.
Abby Washbourne, LLB (Hons)
Solicitor, Director of Family & Crime – Hereford Office
Abby is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2021. After graduating from the University of Worcester with a First Class Law Degree, she has continued her professional development, completing both her Masters Degree and LPC at the University of Law whilst undertaking a Training Contract to become a Solicitor. Abby is a qualified solicitor and is Head of the Crime and Family departments at Kidwells.
In Abby’s spare time, she loves baking and spending time with her dogs.
Caitlin Abell, LLB (Hons)
Trainee Solicitor – Hereford Office
Caitlin is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2022. After graduating from Cardiff University with a First Class Law Degree, she has continued her professional development by studying both her Masters Degree and LPC through the University of Law, whilst undertaking a Training Contract to become a solicitor.
In Caitlin’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Haranjit Singh Kalket
Trainee Solicitor – Hereford Office
Haranjit is based in the Hereford office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2024. After graduating from the University of Worcester with a LLB Hons Law Degree, he has continued his professional development, completing the LPC and LLM at the University of Law and is now undertaking a training contract to become a Solicitor. Haranjit has a particular interest in Residential Conveyancing.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Joanne Gunaratne
Senior Paralegal – Bristol Office
Joanne is based in the Bristol office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2023. After graduating from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Law, she then went on to complete her diploma in Legal Practice in 2020. Joanne was later admitted to the New South Wales Supreme Court and the Australian High Court in 2022, where she practiced as a Family Solicitor. She has also worked within the areas of Immigration Law and Criminal Law.
In Joanne’s spare time, she enjoys travelling and playing chess.
Jake Nolan
Senior Paralegal – Hereford Office
Jake is based in the Bristol office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2023. After graduating from the University of the West of England, Jake joined a team where he would hold free independent legal advice sessions for clients concerning Entertainment law.
In Jake’s spare time, he is an avid Formula 1 fan and enjoys cross-country running.
Joanna Schwemin
Trainee Solicitor (SQE) – Bristol Office
Joanna joined Kidwells in 2024 as a senior paralegal and is based in the Bristol office.
She graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2015 with a Bachelor of Law and has gained experience in different Civil Litigation areas over the past seven years including, personal injury, financial mis-selling and debt recovery.
In her spare time, she likes to go for country walks with friends, baking and spending time with her dog, Dyson.
Amanpreet Kaur
Solicitor – Bristol Office
Amanpreet joined our Civil Litigation Team in February 2024. She was born and raised in Germany and moved to the UK in 2004 to study Law at De Montfort University in Leicester and completed her LPC at Nottingham Law School.
Amanpreet is a highly driven and proactive multi-lingual Solicitor with over 10 years PQE experience. She has worked in Personal Injury, Family Law, Commercial Property Recoveries, Financial Services Litigation and Commercial Litigation. Amanpreet strives to provide clients with concrete and clear solutions to legal issues.
Outside work, Amanpreet enjoys spending time with her children, going to the gym and socialising.
Joshua Wainwright‑Jones
Paralegal – Bristol Office
Joshua is based in our Bristol office and began his Kidwells journey in 2024. He graduated from the University of Bristol in 2024 with a Law Master’s Degree, having previously gained experience in various areas of civil law including intellectual property and commercial conveyancing. In Josh’s spare time, he is an avid football fan, likes to play hockey for his local club and spend time with friends and family.
Anna-Mariya Mandzik
Paralegal – Hereford Office
Anna-Mariya, based in the Hereford office, joined Kidwells in 2024. A Liverpool John Moores University graduate (2023), she is currently working in the Family department while pursuing her Master’s and LPC. Before Kidwells, she volunteered at Support Through Court, aiding individuals in civil and family proceedings, and contributed to one of Europe’s largest law clinics. In her free time, she enjoys being with friends and family.

Trainee Solicitor (Apprentice)
Tianna is based in the Bristol office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2024. She graduated from University of the West of England in 2021 with a 2:1 Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and is now studying towards her SQE qualification through an Apprenticeship, to become a Solicitor.
In Tianna’s spare time she enjoys binge watching series, trying new foods and spending time with family.

Jade Evans
Jade is based in the Bristol office and started her career at Kidwells in 2022 as a Legal Secretary. During her time in this role, she gained a wealth of valuable skills and experience. Now, as a member of the Business Development team, Jade focuses on driving business growth and fostering strong partnerships within the community.
Outside of work, Jade enjoys playing netball, spending time with her dogs, and indulging in delicious food!
Marcus Potts
Business Development Executive – Hereford Office
Marcus is based in the Hereford office and joined Kidwells in 2022. With several years of experience in financial and data analytical roles, Marcus now works as a Business Development Executive. In this role, he focuses on driving growth and expanding business opportunities for the firm. He plays a key part in identifying and pursuing new business ventures, building, and maintaining client relationships, and supporting the strategic goals of the company. Marcus is also involved in analysing group data and providing insights to inform key decision-making processes. His background in data analytics and finance helps him support the firm’s development initiatives with a strong understanding of key business standards. Outside of work, Marcus enjoys playing football and spending time with friends and family.

Jenni Griffiths
Support Staff Supervisor – Hereford Office
Jenni is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2022. Jenni previously worked as a Paralegal, dealing with personal injury claims, before joining Kidwells. Jenni offers support to the legal team by helping them stay organised and keeping our clients informed.

Amy Cotton
Legal Secretary – Hereford Office
Amy is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2022. Amy previously worked in Administration before joining Kidwells. Amy offers support to the legal team by helping them stay organised and keeping our clients informed.

Janice is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2022. Janice worked in customer service for over 20 years before joining Kidwells.

Jodie Scott
Legal Secretary – Hereford Office
Jodie is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2024. After working as a primary school teacher, Jodie moved to Hereford and looked for a career change and joined Kidwells as a legal secretary.
In Jodie’s spare time she loves reading and spending time with family and friends.
Phoebe Morton
Legal Secretary – Hereford Office
Phoebe is based in the Hereford Office and began her journey at Kidwell’s in November 2024. After graduating from the University of Leicester with a Law Degree, she has stayed in the field of law, working as a Legal Secretary. Phoebe hopes to progress at Kidwells whilst continuing her professional development and completing the SQE.
In Phoebe’s spare time, she likes seeing her friends, walking her dog, and travelling new cities/countries.
Elizabeth Wilson
Legal Secretary – Bristol Office
Elizabeth is based in our Bristol office and is a recent law graduate from the University of Exeter. She is eager to gain essential practical experience before pursuing a training contract. Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys staying active by going to the gym, exploring new hiking trails, and discovering new cuisines.
Bethan Mulley
Legal Secretary – Bristol Office
Beth is based in the Bristol office and started working with Kidwells in the summer of 2024. After working as a teacher, Beth decided to work as a legal secretary as she wanted to have a career change. Beth is looking forward for continual learning and growth in the new role.
Beth loves to spend time with her family, cook, read, and embroider. You can often find her under a blanket, on the sofa with a podcast playing.
Esme Hall
Compliance Officer – Hereford Office
With a solid background in commercial, operational, and compliance roles, Esme is a process-driven professional dedicated to delivering efficient and effective solutions. She excels at optimising workflows and ensuring compliance while supporting business growth. Outside of work, Esme enjoys spending quality time with her family and is an avid runner

The Kidwells Solicitors accounts department is also supported by the team at Kidwells Accountancy, run by Kidwells Accounts Limited. Kidwells Accountancy operates independently and also offers accountancy and bookkeeping services to other clients. Michael Horne is also owner of Kidwells Accountancy.
Kidwells24 Limited is also part of the wider Kidwells group of companies. The K24 team works closely with the Solicitors to provide marketing advice, strategy, and day-to-day support such as website management, social media support, and more.
